We Found INSANE Crystals Hidden Deep Inside this Cave!

After 7 years of searching, we finally made it happen! We rigged the pits, tackled a sketchy traverse, and pushed deep underground into the far reaches of Tennessee in search of something truly spectacular... massive, rare gypsum flowers hidden deep inside the cave.

Join me, Jason, and our friend Ashley as we finally explore the incredible formations we’ve been hearing about for the past 7 years. Was the wait worth it? Absolutely!

That's right, this cave has been on our list since 2019, so to finally get the chance to explore it and bring all of you along for the adventure was pretty exciting!

After parking, we hit the trail for about a mile hike up the mountain to the cave entrance. Once there, we rigged the first pit, then the second, and started making our way deeper into the cave in search of the "pretties."

Like any new cave, there was a little route-finding involved. But once we figured out the way, it was on like Donkey Kong! 😂

Along the way, we had to tackle a pretty sketchy traverse where the floor dropped away into a crack below us. Needless to say, we were paying VERY close attention to where we put our feet and being careful to not fall to the depths below!

After making it across the traverse, we continued through a long crawl until we finally reached what we'd come looking for, the formations!

And WOW… they did not disappoint. 🤯

We found monstrous gypsum flowers, long stretches of beautiful gypsum formations, and some incredible formations that you simply don't see in every cave. After hearing about this place for years, seeing it in person was absolutely worth the wait.

We spent some time taking photos, exploring, and soaking it all in before making our way back toward the entrance.

Another incredible day underground in Tennessee, with great friends and some seriously spectacular cave formations!
