This Cave is STUPID Pretty… But Getting There Was BRUTAL!

Come along with Jason, Ashley, and me for an adventure inside one of Tennessee’s most beautiful caves! This cave is so pretty, it’s almost ridiculous.

But getting to those incredible formations is quite the adventure. Before reaching the main room, we had to crawl through long, low, muddy, and wet sections of cave. Once we finally made it through, we were rewarded with a huge main room with several branches, and every one of them had something unique to see.

We found massive flowstone formations, beautiful cave pearls, delicate angel hair, four foot long soda straws, and some absolutely incredible helictite bushes. And that’s not all, this cave even has some large walking borehole passage that makes exploring it even more fun as you are skipping along through it like a child in a playground!

By the time we made our way back out, we were completely trashed, soaked, muddy, and covered from head to toe in cave mud. But that’s the thing about caving… sometimes you come out looking like a mess, but with a caving halo from an incredible day underground. And this trip was definitely one of those!

This cave truly has a little bit of everything, and it was an amazing adventure with good friends. Come along and see why this Tennessee cave is so special!
