Searching For LIFE in a CAVE

Come along with us as we visit a local cave with a biologist to conduct a biological inventory. We found some interesting critters including over a dozen cave crayfish, several types of cave millipedes, one Rafinesque's big-eared bat, several Tri-Colored bats, a sculpin, cave crickets, several types of salamanders as well as cave spiders, one springtail, surface crayfish, several unidentified surface fish and lastly an American Brook Lamprey. Whew! Caves are FULL of life.

While in the cave, we also placed a charcoal receptor pack for an upcoming dye trace that we are working on!
