Join us for an underground adventure as we explore an abandoned limestone quarry and a stunningly beautiful nearby pit here in Tennessee that was named after a Civil War battle. I was supposed to be home packing for a caving event but my good friend Troy was recently contacted by the landowners, who generously granted us access to check out these hidden spots. How could I resist, right! Hence, Procrasticaving: When you have a million things to do, but choose to go caving instead!

The quarry, once opened to supply limestone for the adjacent highway, now sits quiet and overgrown, an eerie yet fascinating reminder of it's sole purpose. After wandering through the quarry, we hike uphill to a beautifully decorated pit that holds some surprising features.

Along for the adventure were Troy’s daughter Keira and my other good friend Angel, making this a fun and memorable trip shared with great company and some good laughs!

Come along for the journey as we document our discoveries and share the beauty of these forgotten places!
