Come along with us as we explore two entrances and almost everything in between in this classic Alabama Cave. This cave was first discovered in the 1980's and was originally thought to be a short, one room cave. Cavers were able to finally push through the breakdown and they discovered miles of large walking borehole passage. Through their survey and exploration efforts, they were able to eventually connect the cave to another cave nearby, making the system even larger. The connection between the two caves can only be done in times of dry weather as there is potential for flooding in the lower connecting sections, as you will see in this video! On this day, we enter the larger walk in entrance and make our way through the crawls to the tight connection between the two caves. We emerge in the lower water passages where the water is about waist deep on me. We then make our way up and into the other cave successfully making the connection. Watch along as we squeeze through rock, walk in deep water, and see some amazing formations! Oh and for one of the guys on this trip, it was his first cave trip!
