Journey Deep Underground Exploring the Beauty of this Alabama Cave

Come along with us as we take you along our trip deep underground into a very beautiful and special Alabama Cave. This particular cave has lots of hidden treasures, however it can also be very dangerous and risky during times of potential rain. It is not advisable to enter this cave if any type of rain is in the forecast. Not far after the initial drop, you come to what is known as the knee ripper crawl. As you make your way over lots of jagged rocks, you start to make your way into the submarine passage. It is in this area where the cave can become very dangerous if the water levels were to rise while you were in the cave. There is a short section of low air space where you only have about 6 inches of air and the rest of your body is under the water.

After you go through this nasty, smelly crawl, the cave opens up into a large room. Beyond the room, you start to see an amazing gallery of soda straw formations. Literally thousands of them! After going down another drop, you make your way further down deeper into the cave. This is where you come across a really cool snake skeleton in flowstone, as well as some other really cool fossils in the ceiling of the cave. After that there are some shields, which are a rare formation in TAG and then the ultimate cave formation, cave pearls! Not only are there cave pearls, there are some soda straws that have fallen into the pools and have also been turned into pearls. They have a unique large pill shape to them. I hope you enjoy this cave trip as we ventured underground in Alabama to show you what all this cave has hidden inside.
