Hidden Caves in West Tennessee

Join me on a solo cave and adventure trip across Tennessee as I travel to a unique natural destination known as The Bridges. Located in Tennessee, The Bridges is believed to be the only double natural span bridge in the United States, and possibly the world. While I can’t personally verify that claim, I can absolutely attest to how beautiful and rare this natural feature is.

For many years, The Bridges operated as a high-end health spa, and access to the double natural bridge was limited to guests only. In 2024, the property was sold and is now open to the public for a small entrance fee of $12, allowing visitors to explore this incredible Tennessee natural bridge formation.

On the way, I passed by a roadside cave and couldn't resist stopped and checking it out. Inside it contained a very strange ladder that literally lead to nowhere. After exploring the cave, I continued on to The Bridges, where I not only explored the scenic natural area around the bridges, but also entered crawled around and into every hole I could find. While on the property, I also visited Ice Cave, which is 450-foot-long and is lit more like a commercial cave. It is accessible by walking into the entrance.

It’s not often that I can share exact cave locations in Tennessee, but I’m excited to let viewers know about this special place.

After leaving The Bridges, I explored another Tennessee cave that is approximately 3,000 feet long, featuring massive breakdown slabs. Just inside the entrance were some incredible ice formations, created by airflow between two cave entrances.

On the way home, I attempted to explore another roadside cave that was first mentioned about in Tom Barr's famous The Caves of Tennessee book, but it was heavily posted for no trespassing. My final stop was Town Spring in Pulaski, Tennessee, where the town once sourced its water. Historical descriptions say the cave is quite large inside, but the city has permanently sealed it, making entry impossible.

If you enjoy caving, caves of Tennessee, natural bridges, underground exploration, roadside caves, and hidden places, this video is for you.
