Come along with us as we explore a massive 16-mile-long river cave in middle Tennessee.
This cave was discovered, mapped, and originally explored in the late 1990s. For many years, there was only one entrance to access this cave. A few years back, a new entrance was mined open to allow access to the farthest reaches of this cave. Previously, it would have taken 8+ hours to get to the area in the cave where we were exploring in this video!
On this trip, we visit an area of the cave where dozens of cavefish live as well as a highly decorated section that has selenite crystals! We also explore the massive river passage that runs through the majority of this cave.
Please note, we had permission to enter this cave entrance as it is located on PRIVATE LAND.
