Come along with me as I visit Cathedral Caverns State Park near Woodville, Alabama with the Huntsville Grotto of the National Speleological Society. The Huntsville Grotto is a caving club and for their November meeting, they were hosting it inside the cave. It has been more than a decade since I last visited this cave so it was nice to see it again as I forgot how beautiful it really is. The entrance is a massive 126 feet wide and 25 feet high. There are tons of large flowstone formations, as well as massive stalagmites and stalactites. There is also one really large formation that is known as Goliath.
